To improve our websites and build better services for our 10,000s of visitors we are looking for a WordPress developer to join our fully remote team.

As a WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our web properties. You will collaborate closely with our creative and marketing teams to ensure our websites are not only visually appealing but also functionally robust.

Responsibilities:

1. Website Development:
   • Design and develop custom WordPress websites for our internal projects.
   • Collaborate with the creative team to implement design concepts and ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
2. Theme Customization:
   • Customize existing WordPress themes to align with our brand and project requirements.
   • Develop and modify templates, layouts, and functionalities to enhance our websites.
3. Plugin Development:
   • Create and modify plugins to improve website functionality.
   • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to plugins and other WordPress components.
4. Front-End Development:
   • Implement responsive design principles to ensure our websites are accessible and optimized for various devices.
   • Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies to enhance user interactions.
5. Performance Optimization:
   • Conduct website performance tests and implement optimization strategies.
   • Ensure our websites are fast, reliable, and adhere to industry best practices.
6. Security and Maintenance:
   • Implement security measures to safeguard our websites from potential threats.
   • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to keep our websites secure and up-to-date.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:
   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
   • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a portfolio showcasing successful internal projects.
2. Technical Skills:
   • Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
   • Strong understanding of WordPress core and ecosystem.
   • Experience with theme and plugin development/customization.
3. Problem-Solving:
   • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues efficiently.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
4. Communication:
   • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
   • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Attention to Detail:
   • Meticulous attention to detail in coding, design, and project execution.
   • Ability to adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work.
