An Authentic Customer Experience with IdealofMeD: Step-by-Step
What is the real customer experience like at IdealofMeD? Our staf writer, Tom, decided to put the clinic to the test. The way the clinic treats its patients is extremely important during cosmetic procedures. We have come across numerous stories where patients have had higher expectations in this area.
Contact options at IdealofMeD include WhatsApp, Messenger, or WeChat. There is also a telephone number and a contact form available.
I (Tom) utilized Messenger, where I was greeted by the chatbot “Ida”, who further guided me (through a couple of questions) to IdealofMeD’s staff member, Malin. The staff memeber left a professional impression and communicated in perfect English. According to the information provided, customer service is available in other languages as well, including Swedish and Chinese.
Malin provided clear information about the different pricing packages. I also learned that I could bring along my male partner as a companion during the stay. Since the team at hairlinetransplantturkey.com received feedback from several patients about inconsistent treatment for patients in same-sex relationships at Turkish clinics, we included this as one of the aspects we test.
The IdealofMeD customer service patiently answered my numerous questions, and I was asked to send three photos of my scalp (front, side, and back) for a quick evaluation by specialist Cem. I chose to contact the specialist via WhatsApp for an online consultation. Once again, I had a good gut feeling. Cem was informative and knowledgeable, providing me with information on different methods available for hair transplantation and estimating the number of grafts that could potentially be suitable for my case.
At the end of our conversation, we decided that I would take some time to think before making a potential booking. I did not find Malin or Cem to be pushy or overly sales-oriented, which significantly boosts my overall rating.

By this point, you have probably already gathered that IdealofMeD do things well. Following an easy booking process and a great welcome service, things continue to improve upon arrival to the clinic. You are provided with all of the comforts you need, from an ergonomic chair and bed, televisions and even your lunch.
The boxes aren’t just ticked from a patient experience perspective either, the medical facility itself is seriously impressive. All of the latest transplant equipment and tech is available, including lasers for measuring hairlines and hair density.
The IdealofMeD clinic holds a Turkish A-License assuring quality and one interesting perk is that it also allows them among other things to pick up their patients with their own VIP-transfers.

IdealofMeD talks a lot about combination hair transplant on their website, which is when a team of 6-8 people combine the two techniques FUE with DHI, which assures coverage and density in just one operation. We love this as a major complaint among patients is that the result lacks density when only doing FUE. Additionally nurses form part of the operational team at the clinic, so you can expect high standards of care throughout. Each member of the team is English-speaking, and needleless anaesthetic and FUE Saphire is available and standard, all of this contributes to a high score in this area.

Aftercare is where many clinics begin to fall down during our review process. Despite doing well in so many other areas, aftercare is often disappointing. The good news is that IdealofMeD remain consistent, and their aftercare is above-and-beyond expectations.
Not only do you receive 2 months of post-op care products, but there are also 3 months of pre-op consultations too. There is a 90% hair-growth guarantee, so you can feel confident in trusting the clinic with your transplant.
The only area for improvement here is the lack of financing options for patients, especially as the packages are in the premium range. Just for Swedish patients is not enough. Despite being cheaper than elsewhere, the cost of a hair transplant is still a lot in one go, and we would prefer the option of monthly payments or installments. We reached out to the clinic and they say they are looking into this area and hope to be able to provide financing in the future. This is something that does not have seen to moved forward as of August 2023.

There are a lot of great things to say about IdealofMeD, and this is reflected in the impressive score of 4.33 out of 5. The areas in which they dropped points are easily resolved, and may just result in the perfect score in future.
It is clear from the very beginning of the process that IdealofMeD prioritise their patients needs. From step-by-step guidance and detailed consultations, right through to a luxury all-inclusive package, they have covered all bases. Because of this, patients are left feeling confident in the hands of the clinic.
The main area of improvement recommended for IdealofMeD is financing options. For a clinic providing such a high standard of care and premium packages, it would be the final piece of the puzzle. It is a key decision-making factor with some patients, and so it would be a shame for them to miss out for giving all patients the possibility to use them. However, as previously mentioned the clinic will be working on providing financing options in other countries besides Sweden.

I’m only 16 days after the transplant and, as it stands, all the scabbing has gone and the new hair is yet to shed, so I have a glimpse of what the final result will hopefully look like and I’m very happy with it!
The team at IoM are very compassionate, and the process from start to finish has been smooth.
Turkish airlines even cancelled my flight to turkey 4 hours after it was due to take off and IoM scrambled to move my hotel and operation all by 1 day.
I honestly can’t fault them at all and would recommend them to anyone. Obviously the most important thing is the final result which will take roughly a year to see but if it’s anything like it currently looks I’ll be ecstatic.

4 weeks ago, I had a hair transplant procedure at IdealofMED in Istanbul, and although it is still too early to judge the final outcome, I am very impressed by the professionalism and care provided by the entire team.
Every step of the process was meticulously planned and executed, from the initial consultation to the actual procedure and the post-operative care for which they provide very clear instructions. The staff was not only highly skilled and experienced but also very attentive, making me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout, with special kudos to Fatih who constanyly checked on my comfort and well being.
Furthermore, the facilities were modern and very hygienic, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. However, I must mention that the chair on which I lay during the operation was uncomfortable and caused some pain in my back, which made the experience challenging at times.
Despite this inconvenience, the team’s dedication to delivering a successful hair transplant was evident. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend IdealofMED to anyone considering a hair transplant.

Ideal of med got recommended by a friend who visited the clinic over a year ago, his feedback were highly positive that i got myself to contact ideal of med and compared all other hair clinic there were the first one to offert to call me instead of only texting. That already show me how professional there are. Overseas health procedures can be a little stressful but ideal of med team made it the completely opposite. From the airport transfer to the hospital transfer everyone we’re highly friendly and so welcoming. The hospital itself is one of the best known hospital in Istanbul (told by a friend who is a paramedic in Istanbul) the hotel i stayed at was fantastic, surgery day went well, and the post operation help respond from ideal of med is absolutely fantastic, there are constantly effective of responding to any questions and very quickly. Highly recommend you guys are amazing. Thx you. Thank you also to all the medical team at the hospital you guys rock.

2 hair transplants

Had a hair transplant (4700 graphs to the front hairline) with IdealofMeD exactly two years ago and results very amazing, and so was the whole package starting from pre-care, accomodation arrangements, operation at the clinic and after care. My head was almost completely bald, and I liked how they were very open about the possibility that I would propably have to have two operations in order to cover my whole head with good density. This initially was not what I wanted to hear, but we made a decision to just fix my front hairline and leave it up to me if I wanted to fix the rest of my head later. After seeing how dense my hairline became, we absolutely made the right decision. Thank you Mesut and Cem.

We would expect to find a detailed profile that outlines Dr. Demirel’s qualifications and history within hair transplantation. A simple Google search tells us all we need to know, but it should be much easier than this. Especially for patients who are browsing multiple clinics to decide where to go.
Despite having no specific information about doctors at IdealofMeD, we can confirm that they are all qualified in the field. Hair transplants are the biggest focus at the clinic, and so the members of staff will have plenty of experience in hair restoration. Profiles and information about specific doctors and nurses at IdealofMeD would make a real difference to those considering a procedure there. This is a quick fix that can help the reputation of the clinic.

When we first reviewed IdealofMeD Turkey, there were no before and after pictures available. We found it rather disappointing that the IdealofMeD Turkey website lacked before and after result photos. For us, having a visual indication of results is essential, perhaps the most crucial factor to consider when contemplating a hair transplant.
However, as of August 2023, IdealofMeD has updated their website with several before and after pictures. They have even included a timeline where it’s possible to see hair transplant results month by month. We requested their complete before and after catalogue, and they promptly sent it via email.
