Our Experience with Lenus Clinic: Step-by-Step
After having noticed some excellent Lenus hair transplant reviews, we decided the time had come to take a closer look at this clinic. While customer reviews are always a great benefit, there are other factors to be taken into consideration when rating hair transplant clinics. Here I (Sarah) will take an all-inclusive look at Lenus Clinic.
As always, I started by heading to their website. I found that the information provided was comprehensive without going into unnecessary detail. Lenus also proudly displays its rating scores from Google Maps, Trustpilot and Proven Expert, all scoring a 4.9 when we checked in October 2023.
My assessment involved a close examination of the booking process. Regrettably, the website did not provide any information regarding costs or the availability of various service packages. Upon clicking the “Consultation” button, a concise five-step questionnaire prompted users to specify their gender and the location of their hair thinning. Subsequently, we received a response via WhatsApp within an hour.
While I opted out of a video call, the assistance provided remained amicable and informative. I was promptly furnished with comprehensive information about the consultation procedure, service packages, associated costs, and the intricate details of the surgical operation.

At Lenus Hair Transplant Clinic in Turkey, patients can expect a team of 6 members that look after them. The team consists of coordinators, doctors, and other medical staff, such as nurses. Although the majority of the staff speak English, your translator will stay with you for the entirety of the procedure.
The hair transplant will take between 6 – 8 hours. It takes place in a fully equipped hospital room, under local anaesthesia. Your scalp is numbed by a device using air pressure while the anaesthesia is administered for minimum pain.

Aftercare is a vital part of a hair transplant and should be made up of regular consultations, post-op medications and care products, as a minimum. The package you have chosen will determine the amount of products that you receive. The Standard Package includes medical shampoo and foam for a month. The Diamond Package gives clinics a 6-month supply of medical shampoo, foam, lotion, and multivitamins.
Lenus Clinic recommends using its products for a year and will sell what is not included in the price while you are there. It would be wise to ask about this before you leave, as the cost can be more than you budgeted for. You will be given a medical neck pillow for sleeping and any medication needed. As the anaesthesia starts to wear off, it is not uncommon to have some pain, so you will receive pain medication. Both packages also include a PRP treatment, and a blood plasma treatment to aid speedy healing.
The day after the hair transplant, clients will be transported back to Lenus for a post-op check. A professional will also wash your hair and explain how to do it properly.

It was hard to find a lot of fault with the Lenus hair transplant hospital in Turkey. They tick a lot of the boxes necessary and score high on customer satisfaction. The score is a first-rate 4/5.
The decision to get a hair transplant is not one to be taken lightly. It is a deeply personal journey that is often marred by negative stigma, thanks to the legacy of long-outdated hair plugs. Thanks to clinics like Lenus, where customer satisfaction and personal attention are paramount, hair transplants are now more widely acceptable.
Many people who are exploring the option of having the procedure would like to conduct research on the Internet, without speaking to a clinic until they have made a decision. It is for this reason that we like to see comprehensive included on clinic sites with regard to what the patient could expect, both during the operation and afterwards, as well as an indication of costs. This is one area that Lenus could improve on. That being said, once you do contact them, most of these questions are answered immediately.
Another area that improvement is hair care products. Ensuring that you use shampoos and lotions designed for hair transplant patients is important, as is how you treat your hair leading up to the transplant. Including products for pre-op and extending their supply from 6 months to 12 months on the Diamond Package would score Lenus higher. As would it selling these products from the website.

I recently had a hair transplant at Lenus Clinic in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which instantly put me at ease. The professionalism and care they provided were top-notch.
What truly stood out to me was the personal care attendant who was assigned to me. They were absolutely amazing—helping me through every step of the journey and being there the entire time. It felt like I had a friend by my side, which made the whole experience even more comforting.
The procedure itself was smooth and surprisingly painless, which was a huge relief. The transportation from my hotel to the clinic was seamless, making everything stress-free and allowing me to focus on my recovery.

The staff were excellent, very hospital and friendly. Explained every step clearly so I was not guessing or unsure. The procedure itself was very smooth and efficient. The aftercare was very good also. Everything they had booked in terms of the hotel and transfers were very smooth also. I would highly recommend using them.

They were very thorough. From the time I applied to have them reach out to me and after surgery. This package includes rides to and from airport and to and from doctor for appointment. As the surgery was done the staff was going over every step of the way. After the surgery they explained what I need to do to take care of my scalp both in person and in writing. They are easily reachable for questions.

Had a great experience at Lenus Clinic. I totally recommend them. It is very diffucult to chose since there so many options fot hair transplant in Turkey, but I feel very good about my decision!

After months of research and consultations with other clinics I finally decided to go with Lenus..
From the very beginning their reps took the time to answer all my questions and explain all of my options.. After finding dozens of positive reviews online as well as personal communication with previous patients I knew I had made the right choice..
Hotel arrangement and accommodations were top notch.
Transport services were prompt and I felt very safe in their company..
On day of procedure I was warmly greeted in front of hospital and taken to clinic floor.
Dr and assistants explained in great detail what I should expect and answered all of my questions and addressed concerns.
Procedure itself was smooth and over in less than 6 hours..
I would highly recommend Lenus to anyone looking into or considering a HT.

It all started with a search online for a hair transplant from a reputable source at a reasonable price. Lenus Clinic had reviews that were nearly perfect. So I tried calling and spoke with consultant Mr. Sam who did an initial screening and eventual video call showing extent of hair loss. I stayed in touch with Sam for several months on WhatsApp trying to figure out if and when I could go to Istanbul. Sam responded right away to any questions. Then one day I took a Euro trip and ended up making a last minute decision to go to Istanbul.. once again messaged Sam and he made arrangements to have the procedure within 2 days!! He also honored a discounted rate for a basic procedure at $1500 which included 3 nights but he made it 6 nights at the 4 star “Volley Hotel” 5 min from the clinic and close to touristy attractions. I thought this was all too good to be true. A WhatsApp group was created and the team organized pick up from the airport -> hotel -> clinic. The clinic was posh and everyone provided gracious hospitality.. shout out to Bose for being there every step of the way and translating. The Doc did another consultation, drew lines on my forehead.. was also asked if wanted stem cell treatment.. opted out. The procedure was a solid 6 hrs with multiple team members working simultaneously. It started with anesthesia in the donor area -> donor grafts removed -> anesthesia for where hair was being transplanted -> slits -> hairs transplanted -> head wash/wipe -> bandage wrap. An IV was provided with an antibiotic. Take home meds given were (antibiotic, pain, swelling, itching, blood thinner) with printed directions, a hat & neck pillow with Linus Clinic logo also provided 🙂 They even had a dinner post op 🙂 I was escorted out and transport brought me to the hotel. Follow up morning after bandages removed and was given a foam & shampoo with instructions. Over all my experience was great and would highly recommend to friends & fam

Lenus uses DHI and Sapphire FUE methods. First, let’s talk about Sapphire FUE. The term Sapphire refers to the type of blade used during the procedure. This blade is made from sapphire crystals, which are known for their precision and sharpness. The FUE technique involves extracting individual hair follicles from the donor area and implanting them into the recipient area. The use of the Sapphire blade in FUE can result in more precise incisions, leading to minimal scarring and faster healing.
On the other hand, we have DHI, which stands for Direct Hair Implantation. This technique involves using a special tool called a Choi pen to directly implant the hair follicles into the recipient area. The major advantage of DHI is that it eliminates the need for creating incisions beforehand, as the implantation is done simultaneously. This results in reduced trauma to the scalp and potentially faster recovery time.
